Not all conservation projects deliver positive outcomes for nature and people

Marine ecosystems like coral reefs are complex, high-biodiversity systems that are facing an uncertain future under continued climate change. Any conservation or restoration project hoping to build (or reduce the loss of) reef biodiversity will be up against significant intervention challenges, for example scope for assisted adaptation. The same is true for mangrove, seagrass and kelp conservation and restoration.

Inadequate intervention effectiveness or inability to demonstrate outcomes represent opportunity costs for conservation or restoration teams, and a financial risk for investors.

We help you predict and assess project outcomes at the outset, and help you develop plans for increased chance of success. We will (1) work with you to understand how the efficacy and cost-efficiency of your conservation or restoration project can be maximised and (2) how project impacts can best be measured and reported such that investments are derisked to the extent possible.
